Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, who also owns Trophy Room in Orlando, Florida, will have another collaboration with Jordan Brand. After dropping a handful of projects, the last pair to launch is the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 7 “New Sheriff in Town” that was released in 2022 and was a tribute to the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. As we look ahead to what’s next for the boutique, we have the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low OG dropping in February 2023.
This marks the second collaboration on the model but in low-top form. In 2021, the Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 “Freeze Out” launched, which had a lot of controversy due to how the release was handled. Hopefully, there won’t be any backdooring for the next drop.
The first Air Jordan 1 Low by Trophy Room comes dressed in a Black, Sail, and Metallic Gold color combination, while the second features Sail, Black, Varsity Red, and Muslin.
The pack draws inspiration from Michael Jordan’s 1986 Fleer rookie card, a 1984 Sports Illustrated photo of MJ wearing a Chicago Bulls warmup, and the “Black Toe” Air Jordan 1. Both pairs feature a “Reverse Black Toe” color blocking, where Red wraps the toe, and Black adorns the heels.
Constructed with polyester fabric on the toe to mimic vintage jersey materials. The “Home” version, exclusively available at Trophy Room, sports a White Swoosh, while the “Away” has an embroidered Black Swoosh. The insoles and extra laces come in Blue and Yellow, a nod to the trimming of the ’86 Fleer rookie card. Other details include Michael Jordan’s signature on the lateral side, Gold Wings on the heels, and Trophy Room logo.
