Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 Release Dates + Colorways

Devin Booker’s first signature shoe, the Nike Book 1, will first release in the Holiday of 2023, and plenty of colorways will launch throughout 2024. This section is dedicated to upcoming colorways and release dates for the Book 1.

Three-time All-Star and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker will finally release his first signature shoe with Nike. Booker has hinted towards a signature shoe coming. Known as the Nike D Book 1, aka Book 1, the first colorway will launch in Holiday 2023.

Retro is the inspiration for the Book 1. Creating his first signature shoe, Booker wanted elements of the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1, and the Blazer used. He looked towards his ’72 Chevy Blazer K5 car, with the outside having a classic look, but under the hood is all modern performance.

Performance is another key feature of the Book 1. The sneakers use Cushlon 2.0 foam in the midsole with a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel. This has resulted in Booker calling this pair a “future classic.”

When speaking on the shoes, Booker said, “Early on, we landed on the phrase ‘future classic.’” “At the beginning of the design process, we landed on the idea of the shoe combining lifestyle and performance worlds. The goal was to create something that would be timeless.”

The Nike Book 1 is engineered to provide athletes with a personalized blend of lateral stability, cushioning, and responsive underfoot support. This achievement was made possible through a collaborative effort by Nike’s design teams, who combined a Cushlon 2.0 foam midsole with an enhanced TPU sidewall for additional reinforcement.

Externally, the Book 1 features a rugged canvas and twill upper inspired by workwear, ensuring durability. Adding a suede collar and genuine leather across the forefoot offers enhanced reinforcement and a comforting, well-worn texture. Furthermore, the heel incorporates a pull tab design reminiscent of a book spine, complete with numerical references symbolizing chapters in an ongoing story.

Nike Book 1 Release Dates

Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 will release at select retailers and Nike.com during the Holiday of 2023. More colorways will debut throughout 2024. The retail price is $150. Once we have more information, we will make sure to update you.
