Following his recent contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks, NBA star Kyrie Irving has also entered into a new sneaker deal with ANTA. This exciting partnership will span a duration of five years and positions Irving as ANTA’s Chief Creative Officer. The value of this agreement is reported to be an impressive $11 million per year.
The unique part of this contract is the empowerment it grants to Kyrie Irving. Not only will he be able to recruit and collaborate with fellow players and individuals, but he will also have a significant influence in shaping ANTA’s future endeavors. In addition to this, ANTA has set its sights on establishing manufacturing facilities within the United States, enabling efficient distribution of their products within the country.
Kyrie Irving’s sneaker journey began back in 2011 when he joined forces with Nike. However, their partnership reached a conclusion in December 2021. This parting of ways was prompted by a controversy surrounding a social media post shared by Irving, which included a link to an antisemitic film. Despite the separation, Irving continued to wear his signature sneakers, albeit with tape covering the iconic Nike Swoosh logo.
Once we have more information on the deal, or a first look at Kyrie Irving’s ANTA shoes, we will make sure to update you.
