Expanding on the “Halo” collection from Nike Basketball and Vanessa Bryant in 2024, the Nike Kobe 9 Protro EM “Halo” will be one of two releases that celebrate Kobe Bryant’s birthday.
The “Halo” collection was introduced in August 2023, and the first release was the “Halo” Kobe 8 Protro. Both Nike Basketball and Vanessa Bryant confirmed that we would see more releases as part of the “Halo” series, which would become an annual series. Vanessa Bryant stated the following on her Instagram:

As mentioned, the “Halo” Kobe 9 EM will be one of two releases in 2024. The other pair is the “Halo” Kobe 9 Protro Elite, a high-top version.
Nike Basketball originally released the Kobe 9 EM in March 2014, and it is the low-top version of the silhouette. Furthermore, 2024 will mark the 10th Anniversary of its initial debut.
Like the other releases, this Nike Kobe 9 comes dressed in all-White. Although we have yet to see the shoes, from our sources, they will feature the “Triple White” color description. Instead of using Flyknit, the EM version comes constructed with engineered mesh and dynamic flywire. We also have Kobe’s signature on the lateral side and his logo on the tongues and outsole. Speaking of the outsole, the thread resembles a foot.
